The ISO/IEC 20000 standard exists in two parts under the title of:
  1. ISO/IEC 20000-1 – is intended for the assessment and possible certification of IT services.
  2. ISO/IEC 20000-2 – serves as a guideline for system implementation and describes recommended practices for service management.
